I was commissioned by Australia Post Philatelic to create four commemorative stamp designs that celebrated the work of iconic Australian fashion photographers from the 1940s to the 1970s.
The stamps showcase the work of photographers Athol Shmith, Helmut Newton, Henry Talbot and Bruno Benini, while also illustrating fashion and stylistic shifts occurring over four successive decades.
The stamp designs return the photographs to their original commercial context, referencing fashion magazine cover art and utilising a colour palette inspired by the era.
