House of Correction

House of Correction, the sister bar to Melbourne’s much loved Goldilocks Rooftop Bar, is situated on level 4 of the Denyer’s Building in the Melbourne CBD.

As an extension of the Goldilocks story, it was said that Goldilocks was banished to the House of Correction as a result of her bad behaviour and irredeemable antics. The brand direction for this project was inspired by the Denyer’s Building’s rich and surprising history. Constructed in 1914, it was once a medical supplier of human skeletons and at a later stage a porn cinema. We drew on the buildings colourful personality as part of the concept.
